• 6 computer science core units,
• 2 approved electives, and
• 8 free electives.

4 of the 10 electives must be at level three, and no more than 4 of them can be at level one.

The structure of the BITS is very general:

• 6 core units,
• 2 industry project units,
• 8 electives with an FIT code, and
• 8 electives with any code.

4 of the 16 electives must be at level three, and no more than 7 of them can be at level one.
