Intelligent Distributed and Multimedia Systems

With the emergence of Internet and related distributed environment there is a serious need to work on intelligent aspects of the distributed systems.  The main objective is to provide a network for world-wide organizations to share vast amount of computer resources (storage, processing power, memory, bandwidth, application etc.) over the internet.  This area also deals with extraction and representation of multimedia features for effective and efficient indexing and retrieval in information retrieval.  This area carries out research in foundation, methods, tools and environment for conceptualizing, modeling, analyzing, developing large distributed and pervasive systems.
