Enrolment Guide – August Intake

Congratulations and welcome to the School of Information Technology Sunway campus. This site is designed to help all new students through the enrolment process. All other new students must follow the enrolment information as stated in your offer letter. We hope that these notes will assist you in completing your Course Enrolment Form for New Students 2011.

In August 2011, Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Information Technology & Systems students are required to do 4 elective units (2 units in August semester and 2 units in summer semester) from School of Business. The elective units available are:

August semester

AFW1000 Principles of Accounting & Finance

MKW1120 Marketing Theory & Practice

Summer semester

ECW1101 Introductory Microeconomics

MGW1010 Introduction to Management

It should be noted that there is no choice of ‘elective’ units for August intake and summer semester other than the School of Business electives listed above.

Upon completion of these four units in August 2011 and Summer Semester, students will continue the course of studies in February/March 2012.

New students must fill in the Course Enrolment Form for New Students 2011 – August Intake. The form can be downloaded here. (Link here to the form)

The Course Enrolment Form must be submitted to the School of Information Technology Course Management office at Building 2 level 4.

Re-enrolment for Semester 1 and 2, 2012

All students seeking to continue studies in the following academic year is required to select units and re-enrol in for a full load for both semesters 1 and 2 in 2012 via the University’s Web Enrolment System (WES).  Details pertaining to the web re-enrolment for 2012 will be conveyed to students between August and September 2011.
